CO Cyber Summit for K-12 Educators

K-12 Educators' Capture the Flag (CTF) Event!

Are you a middle- or high school educator looking to challenge your cyber skills? If you’re interested in applying what you know about cybersecurity or building your cyber skills in a fun, challenging and hands-on way – or if you just want to see what your students are up to when they play – join your colleagues for an informal CTF Challenge.
This CTF will be run on EC-Council’s CTF platform – an industry-recognized system that is proven and easy-to-use, for beginners and experienced hackers alike.

NCyTE AI Workshop: Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Educators

Date: Monday, April 28th and Monday, May 5th, 2025
Time: 9am - 3pm both days
Location: Apr. 28th is in-person at the UCCS Kevin W. O'Neil Cybersecurity Center. May 5th is online via Zoom
UCCS faculty and staff are invited to a 2-day workshop taught by NCyTE (National Cybersecurity Training & Education Center). This AI Fundamentals course empowers educators to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) both in the teaching & learning processes.
If you want to understand more about the implications of AI in the classroom, this curriculum covers the basics of AI and provides the background and tools to integrate AI into their teaching and curriculum. The workshop also prepares educators for the Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals Certification, though the cost of the test is not included in this training. Cybersecurity Summer Camps for Middle School Students

Dates: Introductory Camps: 2 - 6 June OR 9 - 13 June. Advanced Camp: 21 - 25 July, 2025
Time: 9am - 3:30pm each day (Monday - Friday)
Location: UCCS Kevin W. O'Neil Cybersecurity Center: 3650 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80907
Introduce your middle school student to the fundamentals of cybersecurity (introductory camps) or extend their knowledge (advanced camp) through classroom instruction, industry speakers, friendly competitions and hands-on activities that extend cybersecurity awareness and knowledge.
This year's camps will be bi-lingual (taught in English with simultaneous Spanish translation) -- all are welcome!
